Real estate Omis is coming right after this text… The town of Omis lies just 25 kilometers south of Split, exactly where the emerald Cetina River clashes with the Adriatic Sea. In the past the town was famous for its corsairs, who used fast ships to raid trade vessels in the Adriatic. Now, Omiš is known primarily for its Riviera, stretching some twenty kilometers, dotted with bays, cliffs, and pebble beaches. Who wouldn’t want to live in such a beautiful environment?
Tourists are also attracted by the Cetina River, suitable for water sports such as rafting. Excursions to the local Gubavica waterfalls are also pretty common. There are plenty of cultural events in the summer, such as fishing and pirate nights, a swimming marathon, diving festial, but the best known is the traditional klapa music festival, marking the peak of summer in Omis.
